GSEP successfully held the promotion webinar last August 1, 2020 from 1:00 – 3:00PM JST. Prof. Shinya Hanaoka, Department Chair of TSE and Program Head of GSEP gave the opening remarks and presentation about Tokyo Tech. In the webinar, the program structure of GSEP was explained together with details of this application year’s procedures that will be mainly online. Scholarship opportunities, administrative support and more details about GSEP were also discussed and explained. Current 4th year GSEP student, Mr. Jeremy Gavriel presented his experiences as a GSEP student and offered some insights and advice to students who are interested to apply to the program. Over 100 attendees via Zoom and Facebook Live joined the event, and were mainly comprised of students, parents, and educators from different countries like Indonesia, Bangladesh, India, Mongolia and Philippines. After the explanation session, the attendees in Zoom were divided into breakout rooms so they can have the chance to interact and ask questions with the GSEP faculty and students more closely.
