Dr. Do Ngoc Khanh received the Seiichi Tejima Research Award 2024

Last March 17, 2025, former student, Dr. Do Ngoc Khanh, received the Seiichi Tejima Research Award 2024 from President Naoto Ohtake of the Institute of Science Tokyo.

A tribute to the founder of the former Tokyo Institute of Technology, the award is given to excellent students who have obtained outstanding research results. Dr. Khanh’s doctoral work, supervised by Kanda-sensei and Alvin, on the urban climate change modelling of large megacities has potentially significant contributions in the sustainable planning and development of cities. Dr. Khanh is currently working as a post-doctoral researcher at the Shibaura Institute of Technology.

During the day, Dr. Khanh, who is also called “Satoru” by his peers, kindly visited his mentors and peers of the Global Scientists and Engineers Program, our department, and our laboratory. He will continue to collaborate with us in addition to his growing achievements in the field of civil engineering. Best wishes Satoru!
