Tokyo Tech has decided to hold the graduation ceremony on a much smaller scale to prevent infection from the novel coronavirus.

Here is the update for the spring graduation ceremony which was scheduled for 26th March 2020. The message below is from Tokyo Tech official website.

Tokyo Tech has decided to hold the graduation ceremony on a much smaller scale to prevent infection from the novel coronavirus. The ceremony will be streamed on YouTube Live on the Tokyo Tech’s official channel. However, we will not post the video of the ceremony on YouTube or Tokyo Tech website after the ceremony.

We ask families of the graduating students to refrain from coming to Tokyo Tech on the day of the ceremony (there will be no common room or place for those visitors.)

The ceremony will be attended only by students representing each department, etc. in bachelor’s degree programs and graduate programs as well as the President and Executive Vice Presidents, etc. As for other graduating students and students who have completed programs, we plan to hand over diplomas and certificates in each department, etc. We will notify those students of the details by email as soon as possible.

The ceremony may be cancelled on very short notice in response to the changing circumstances. If that is the case, we will notify you on this page.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused. Thank you for your understanding regarding this matter.

Still, we have the ceremony of the TSE department! Let’s meet there if you are coming!
