First Lunch Gathering for the New GSEP Students

On May 1, 2017, just before the start of Golden Week, the 1st lunch gathering for the 2nd batch of GSEP students was held at Ishikawadai 4th building of Tokyo Institute of Technology. Together with the GSEP faculty and staff, the students enjoyed chatting and sharing lunch together.

Having spent almost a month in Tokyo Tech, the students casually shared their daily experiences, concerns, their holiday plans, and others to their teachers. In response, the professors gave their advice on topics that were not necessarily academic but can be helpful for the students. Topics such as healthy diet, places to visit, and impressions of Japan were among those discussed.

Finally, Prof. Junichi Takada, the current chair of the TSE department, concluded the brief event by giving words of encouragement to the students.

Lunch gatherings are frequently held to ensure that our GSEP students are well adjusted to Tokyo Tech. The atmosphere is relaxing with some topics/activities initiated by the staff. Last year, with the first batch of GSEP students, Ms. Oono, GSEP staff, shared a creative way of wrapping presents just in times for the Christmans and New Year season. The photos from the said activity are shown below.
